Jennifer Jamieson

I am an art therapist working with indigenous children. I also tutor in film/video studies and cultural studies at three universities in Perth. I am the co-creator/director of a live art performance duo called ’something in common (sic)’ and we are currently artists in residence at the newly formed CIA studios alongside pvi collective and hydrapoesis.

As a spectator/consumer I love interdisciplinary art forms and want to extend my own technological knowledge and skills in order to push new boundaries in my work.

Amy Perejuan

Amy Perejuan is currently completing her third year of a Bachelor of Arts (Arts) at Curtin University of Technology.

Bonnie Davies

I have an addiction for boundary breaking artforms and have been involved in a number of projects & companies that pursue interdisciplinary practice, experiment with technology and connect artists from a range of backgrounds.

Brian Degger

I completed a PhD in biotechnology in 2002. I have had a solo show of my video work at Downtown Artsspace in Adelaide in 2004, and an installation at Transitlounge Berlin in 2006.

I have worked with Blast Theory in developing + running I like Frank in Adelaide and assisted Ken Rinaldo and his team install Telematic Spiderbots as part of the NE England media festival AVFEST06. My paper on how artists access technology is to be presented at PerthDAC in September this year. I presented work at Connecting Principle in April in Newcastle (UK).

Brogan Bunt

I’m a senior lecturer in Media Arts at University of Wollongong. I’ve been involved in code-based practice for the last ten years and have exhibited at Perth Festival of the Arts, BEAP and MAAP. I’ve recently (March) submitted a creative PhD on software art. I’m currently involved as a researcher and developer in collaborative project involving the ABC and a number of unis to develop an experimental digital arts community site (called Pool).

Carolyn Denham

I am an ex-school teacher, real estate agent, historian, photographer, writer and heritage consultant. I am a current part-time student at ECU - Creative Industries (Photoshop/Flash/Digital photography) B.Ed, B.Comm (Journalism), Post Grad Science (Public History), Grad Dip Science (Media). I was the past president of Canning Vale Rotary Club and have a major interest in WA history, photography, the Victorian era, Paris in the late 19th century, nature, writing and reading.

Cat Hope

Cat Hope is an active performer, sound artist, composer and music researcher. She creates pure music, music for film, sound art, singer-songwriter material, noise music, video art, interactive art and has over 10 CD releases. Her music focuses on the low end of the sound spectrum, and she has a particular interest in the relationship between sound and image.

She has toured her works in Europe, Japan and the USA. She is a PhD candidate in Sound Art at RMIT University Melbounre, and co-ordinator of composition and music technology studies at WAAPA, ECU.

David Fono

David Fono likes to wear a wide variety of unique, colourful hats. He has a MSc in human-computer interaction from University of Toronto, where he published several papers and book chapters on online collaboration. He’s worked at Microsoft Research, where he conducted research on collaborative play over mobile devices. He is the founder of TorGame, an organization dedicated to promoting urban exploration through alternate reality gaming. Most recently he worked in rural Nigeria, assisting a local NGO with technological capacity building. David’s passions lie at the intersections of technology and people, of storytelling and gaming, of fun and community service.

John Blahusiak

I am the former chairperson, vice-chairperson and treasurer of peak body for youth arts and culture in Western Australia (Propelarts). I am currently an MBA student (UWA, part-time), a policy and projects officer and dad to 3.5 yr old.

Kate Raynes-Goldie

Working both as a practitioner and a researcher, Kate Raynes-Goldie is a expert in online community and culture. Kate has presented her work at numerous conferences, including South by South West Interactive, and has been published in three books, including the MacArthur Foundation’s forthcoming volume on digital youth. She holds a double major in Semiotics & Communication Theory and Philosophy and is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Interactive Art and Entertainment Programme. Currently, Kate is pursing her PhD in the internet studies program at Curtin University of Technology.

Kevin Raxworthy

I have worked on video and film projects since 1985. I have been employed as the technical support officer at the Dept of Art, Curtin University in the Electronic Art section from 1998. I am currently studying for a Masters in Electronic Art

Michelle Glaser

Michelle Glaser is an artist, curator and writer who works with linear and interactive media and biologically enabled technology. Michelle’s unconventional and awarding winning projects have been supported by ArtsWA, the Australia Council, the Australian Film Commission and ScreenWest and have exhibited internationally. Michelle Glaser has recently completed two festivals as Artistic Director of AWESOME Arts Australia. At the centre of AWESOME’s creative program is an annual international multi arts festival for young people. Alongside the festival is a regional program that facilitates artists in residence to create collaborative site specific works with young people in 10 regional communities each year.

Paul Thomas

Dr Paul Thomas, is the coordinator of the Studio Electronic Arts (SEA) at Curtin University of Technology and was the founding Director of the Biennale of Electronic Arts Perth (BEAP). Paul is developing an intelligent architecture public art project in partnership the Curtin Mineral and Chemistry Research Precinct. Paul’ current research, the ‘Midas’ project is supported by SymbioticA, University of Western Australia and the Nanochemistry Research Institute, (NRI) Curtin University of Technology. Peter Rucks

I am a domesticated male who likes washing, gardening and Googleing for car parts. I am 52 years old and studied at Curtin University until the early 90’s. I now have a studio and reside in Fremantle. I am a Visual Artist and more recently an Academic. My art practice involves engaging new and obsolete technologies and skills to set up dialogue with the audience.

Poonam Prasad

Sam Fox

Sam Fox is a perth based director and choreographer of hybrid theatre and dance across contemporary art and community collaborative contexts. He is the director of hybrid arts company Hydra Poiesis based at CIA Studios Perthand was a co-director of the Tall Concrete Collective from 2002-2005 creating site specific new media performance. With Hydra Poiesis Sam has directed works ‘INVIOLATE #3′ (PICA 2006), community based hybrid media performance ‘RUN’ (AWESOME Festival 2006) and is currently producing ‘Trademark Manoeuvres’ a new hybrid theatre work.

Woon Tien Wei

Woon Tien Wei is an artist and curator who works and lives in Singapore and Perth. He was the President of The Artists Village (2001 and 2007), co-director and founder of The Danger Museum (since 1998), a founding member of a net art collective tsunamii.net (2001) and a co-founder of a curatorial collective p-10. His practice can be seen as collaborations between himself and other individuals/organisations/collectives. He is currently a post graduate research student at Curtin University.

Vivienne Glance

Vivienne’s poetry and short stories have appeared in journal, anthologies and other publications and she’s won prizes and a commendation in competitions. Her plays have been performed in Perth, Sydney, Seattle USA, London and Edinburgh UK. She regularly performs her poetry at readings and runs a performance workshop for writers. As co-founder and Artistic Director of the science/art agency The Arts Catalyst in London, she produced theatre and dance, developed a series of playwriting workshops investigating science, and organised a science/art debate with The Wellcome Trust. Vivienne has a BSc (Hons) in Life Sciences from Imperial College, University of London.
